At age 7, Sam started playing violin, going on to achieve grade 8, including music theory, helping develop an in-depth understanding of music from a technical standpoint. This developed even further as he started playing the drums, bass guitar, and 6-string guitar over the following years, playing, recording, and performing in various bands and orchestras.
Having such a passion for music, Sam recognised the varying sonic characteristics of his favourite albums, sparking an interest in studio production, engineering, and mixing, wanting to uncover what takes a great song and turns it into an iconic recording.
This pursuit led Sam to study BSc Music Technology at Birmingham City University and its accompanying conservatoire (Royal Birmingham Conservatoire) from which he graduated in 2022 achieving a First Class degree with Honours.
